When you work on mobile SDKs consistency matters more than usual. Developers build on top of what you define. And where there are no documented patterns, no shared language, the foundation starts to crack quietly but very fast.
I joined to do UX Design and writing for the SDKs. But the workflow had a gap: development had no design guidance. So I first proposed a style guide and got then buy-in. At the same time, I proposed a process to incorporate UX into the team's Agile workflow. Then came the QA.
I was hired to execute, but the execution needed a structure first. The style guide gave the team a shared reference. The process put UX inside the workflow. Business and development had something to work
Context
I joined adidas as a UX Specialist in the mobile team. The team was shipping but without a UX process embedded in the Agile workflow and without design QA. I was hired for UX design and writing for mobile SDKs. I did that. And then I fixed what was missing.
What I did
Core work: UX design and writing for mobile SDKs
What I built beyond that
UX process: proposed and implemented the first UX process within the mobile team's Agile workflow.
Design QA: set up the first UX/UI QA process so that user stories were validated from a design perspective before reaching development.
Mobile style guide: identified the gap, proposed the project, secured Senior Director buy-in, defined the structure and launched it.
Innovation: Invited to join a service design initiative focused on improving employee onboarding. My idea was selected and implemented in a pilot office.
